Favicons

What is a Favicon, well it's that tiny little Icon or picture you can see on your browser address bar just to the left of the http://www.bit.etc...  The Image is only 16 pixels square, really tiny and to produce a satisfactory image of any kind requires special software to generate the Image and even more if you wish to animate it..

Attract attention to your site straight away, these animations are also visible in the bookmarks drop down list, stand out from the crowd. Please note animations are not always visible with Internet Explorer. this being due in the main to the fact that I am using new coding and I.E. has not yet caught up with this - as if it ever would. Firefox is the Browser of choice followed closely by Netscape - both are free downloads so you have no excuse,  see you surfing speed up with Firefox.

FIREFOX has now implemented a system that now returns info re the site you are looking at by clicking on the Favicon bringing this small Icon further to the front of safer surfing.

Probably one of my finest Favicons I have created was of a Brown Trout swimming through the Favicon box > we may see it back on the net sooner or later.

Many people say that Favicons are not worth bothering about, as they are so tiny and you cant get that much in there anyway.  A well constructed Favicon is a sign of a Quality site.

Most large companies will have a Favicon it's part of the prestige you can have incorporated into your Website, you can have your Favicon designed and included for you on your new website whether you choose a static or an animated version.
